What are Juvelook & Lenisna?

Juvelook and Lenisna are next-generation injectable treatments classified as hybrid collagen biostimulators. They combine two key components: a collagen-stimulating polymer called poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) and non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA). 

The HA component gives an immediate hydration and subtle volumising effect.

The PDLLA component gradually stimulates your skin’s natural collagen and elastin production, improving skin structure, elasticity and tone over time. 

Although they share the same core technology, Juvelook and Lenisna differ in their formulations and ideal indications:

Juvelook is designed for more superficial skin quality issues such as fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scars, and under-eye hollows. 

Lenisna contains a higher concentration of PDLLA and is indicated for deeper structural concerns: sagging skin, moderate volume loss, jawline or cheek contouring, and body/neck applications.

This treatment requires an initial consultation prior to ensure your suitability and will be carried out by Dr Kara only in her central Norwich, Norfolk Clinic. Other treatments can be with anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers , chemical peels and skincare.

How do they work?

1. Immediately after treatment – The injected HA draws in moisture and adds subtle plumpness and smoothness to the area.
2.Weeks to months following – The PDLLA microparticles trigger fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, gradually strengthening the dermal layer. 
3.Full effect & duration – Visible improvements in skin tone, elasticity, texture and contour typically appear over 8-12 weeks, with lasting benefit up to 12–24 months depending on the product, age and treatment protocol.
